What is CUIC and TNSLPP?
CUIC stands for Centre for University Industry Collaboration and TNSLPP stands for Tamil Nadu State Level Placement Drive. CUIC not only concentrates on placement of the students of University Departments of Anna University but also that for the students of the constituent colleges, Government Colleges, Aided Colleges and Affiliated Colleges under Anna University through Tamil Nadu State Level Placement Programme (TNSLPP) by requesting the IT and Core and other industries to create confidence to all students.
How to Register for Anna University Off Campus 2016 Placement Drive
Eligible Students (read below for Eligibility* and FAQ* section at end of this post) can register for this TNSLPP Placement Drive through Online only. The registration link for the placement drive is available within the TNSLPP Announcements (check above*).
- All the eligible candidates have to pay a one time Registration fee of Rs. 750/- (Rupees Seven hundred and fifty only) mandatory in the form of Demand draft drawn in favor of “The Director, CUIC, Anna University” payable at Chennai and can attend any subsequent drives by bringing their CUIC – TNSLPP – Admit Card, without fail.
- A Registration form is to be filled by the eligible candidates and must contain the signature and seal of the college principal, so as to participate in any TNSLPP placement drive.
TNSLPP 2016 Eligibility Conditions
The students who are already placed (in any company) through on-campus placement are NOT permitted to attend TNSLPP.
Eligible Branches: B.E/B.Tech - CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, EIE, ICE
Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 75% from 10th onwards. Minimum 7.5 CGPA upto 6th semester and NO standing Arrears from 1st semester to last semester.
TNSLPP 2016 - Terms and Conditions
- As per the mandate of the Anna University, Chennai, students who are already placed in any organisation through Campus Recruitment are not eligible to attend the TNSLPP.
- As per the notification of visiting Organisations, the candidates who have already appeared for On-Campus Recruitment of that particular Organisation are not eligible to re-appear again in the TNSLPP.
- All the eligible students taking part in the TNSLPP process for the first time have to register by paying a one time Registration Fee of Rs.750/- in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favor of “The Director, CUIC, Anna University” payable at Chennai.
- Candidates should affix the photograph duly attested by the Principal of their college.
- Candidates should bring the attested Photo Copies of SSLC, HSLC, Diploma and Degree semester mark sheets for verification along with 6 passport size photographs.
- For attending the TNSLPP, the candidates should make their own arrangements, (for travel, boarding, lodging etc) for all the days.
- Registration and Test will be conducted on Day one. The shortlisted candidates will have the interview on Day one / two.
- Those candidates selected through TNSLPP by the company should not attend the subsequent Test / Interviews to be conducted by other companies, through TNSLPP.
- Any irregularity / Malpractices / any form of recommendation will be treated, as disqualification and Anna University, Chennai will take serious action against those candidates.
- The decision of the Director, CUIC, Anna University will be final in all matters.
Frequently Asked Questions - TNSLPP 2016 Off Campus Drive
- Minimum 75% marks means 75% and above in SSLC and HSC exams. Also should have CGPA of 7.5 and above (no rounding off) up to 6th semester examination.
- If you are placed in any company which visited your campus, then you are not allowed to attend TNSLPP 2016 Placement Drive.
- If you have attended the company in your campus and got rejected, then also you are not eligible to attend that company. For example, if CTS visited your campus and if you were rejected at the HR round, then you are not eligible to attend CTS in TNSLPP 2016 placement drive, even though you are not yet placed in any other company.
- Second and Third year students are not eligible to attend this TNSLPP off campus placement drive.
